About me

I live in Ditchingham in South Norfolk with my wife Victoria, son Stanley and of course Baxter the dog.

I’ve worked as a graphic designer for over 10 years, mostly as a freelancer. One of my first freelance jobs was at Archant Dialogue in Norwich, where I started on their range of magazines. I’ve always enjoyed working with magazines – creating something amazing by composing the basic elements. I’ve almost always had a magazine I’ve worked on throughout my career.

I briefly worked as head designer on the excitingly titled ‘Maximum Carp’ magazine before its closure in 2014, as well as second designer on sister title CARPology for around six years.

In 2018 I was lucky enough to be awarded the position of Internal Communications Designer with Greater Anglia, where I work on their staff magazine amongst other things.

I’m still trading freelance around my main job. Over the last few years I’ve helped a number of small businesses get set up with their branding, as well as working on brochures and communications for more established businesses. You can see examples of my work on the portfolio page.

Outside of work I’ve been into martial arts for a long time. I’ve been a member of a kung fu club for over 15 years, and more recently I’ve taken up MMA – we’re very lucky to have the excellent Black Dog Dojo in Bungay nearby. I’m also obsessed with board games, member of the esteemed Norwich Board Gamers for more than five years.
